Title: Administrative Assistant

Part Time/Temporary

Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 8:30am-4:30pm

Wage: Begin @ minimum wage.

Experience minimum: 1 year

We are a fast paced changeable cutting edge company seeking a bright, self starter, self motivated intuitive thinker type.  This person would provide direct support to the executive staff as well as other staff performing clerical, assigned projects, customer follow-up, order processing, sales support, travel arrangements, research, trade show and seminar support, Internet related functions and misc. office functions as they arise.  Must be proficient at MS Office and Internet applications such as Email, Browsers and FTP.



Title: Internet Sales Representative

Sales professional to market our Commercial Internet Services. Responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships. Candidates with telephony or computer related sales experience desirable, but not necessary. Self motivated, team player, with established contacts in the Portland marketplace, with good presentation and communication skills. Generous commission, residuals and Internet Access from home. If you are an articulate, persuasive, professional, with a proven performance record, this may be the position you have been seeking.

Title: Unix FreeBSD Systems Administrator

Department: Technical, Oregon City or Remote Access

Summary:

Administer ChatUSA Internet direct connections to the Internet backbone providers ensuring optimal configuration and performance.  Establish, manage, monitor and problem solve company and client: Frame Relay, ISDN, and modem connections and Web servers (static, commerce, secure and dynamic) Administer the network to ensure effective and reliable operation, including performance monitoring, isolating and solving problems and developing procedures to support specific tasks.  Manage content services and develop Web and CGI scripts. Software engineering and elementary client knowledge transfer desired.

Responsibilities:

Ensure that servers are running correctly.  Diagnose and solve network problems Administer UNIX systems (system programming and administration) Monitor, update and troubleshoot the network infrastructure Liaise with customers and potential clients.  Interact with staff to perform tasks that require privileged access.  Suggest productivity initiatives.

Requirements:

Technical: UNIX FreeBSD administration, TCP/IP networking and routing. Configuration of Livingston, Adtran, ISDN, Apache web server, Amanda, Send Mail programs & equipment plus other telecommunications equipment. Knowledge of popular services such as news and email. C, Perl and Shell programming in the UNIX environment.

Personal: Ability to interact with staff and customers at both a technical and "lay person" level in relation to technical issues.  Ability to diagnose and solve problems, learns quickly and adapt to unfamiliar technical environments.  Ability to work unsupervised, and completes tasks.  Perseverance and initiative.

Educational: University degree in computer science or equivalent. 

Salary: Negotiable based on experience.

Hours: Flexible

Status: Part Time

Work days: On call via pager

Benefits: Internet Access: 28.8 or 33.6 (from home).
